Christian Growth Network Prayer Requests
August 2008
"Brethren, pray for us." 1 Thessalonians 5:25
First, I just want to thank you for being a prayer partner for this ministry.  Your prayers will make such a difference in the lives of others.  Thank you!!

This month I am feeling overwhelmed with so many things to do.   It's funny, I was praying the "Jabez Prayer" for several weeks asking God to enlarge my ministry opportunites and now that He has I'm wondering what I was thinking!

The interesting thing I've found is that He does want to give us more opportunities to help people, but He wants us to do so in His power being dependent on Him.

So please pray just that!  Pray that I am able to humble myself before the Lord and that He would work through me to accomplish His will and help others.

More specifically, please lift up these requests:

1) On the second day of the writer's conference I just attended I got to meet with two editors from publishing companies.  Both of them showed interest in my work. (Praise the Lord!) But one specifically asked for me to send a book proposal to him.  Please pray for me as I put this proposal together that I would have the right words and also find the time to get this done.  I want to get this done by next month.  Please also pray for those from the publishing company who will read this proposal.

(The book is about ministry in the workplace.  I first wrote an article on the topic, but feel that there is much more to share.  You can read the article I wrote on this site:  How to Jumpstart a Workplace Ministry.)

2) I also have a new opportunity to be a pen pal with some men in prison.  The timing of receiving these letters could not have been worse, but I want to be faithful to this obligation and be help these men find encouragment and peace. Please pray for God to give me the right words to minister to these men.

3) Finally, please pray that as I try to make more time to write, I also keep my personal time with the Lord and with my family in order as my first priorities.

I look forward to sharing with you what God does in answer to your prayers!!

Thank you so much!

Your Brother in Christ,

Pierre
